On Thursday night, left-hander Hector Santiago will hope to finally get his first win of the year when he and the Los Angeles Angels go up against Colby Lewis and the Texas Rangers.

Hector Santiago gave up five runs in five innings of work against the Houston Astros last Saturday, but he was lucky to come away with a no decision instead of a loss. He allowed six hits in that outing and walked three batters while striking out seven. Santiago is 0-7 on the year with a 4.50 ERA, but he has struck out 54 batters in 58 innings.

Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has two hits in seven at-bats against Santiago with a double and a solo home run. Outfielder Alex Rios is 3-for-6 against him with two home runs and four home runs.

Colby Lewis was able to pick up his sixth win of the season last Saturday when he beat the New York Mets on the road. He went six innings in that start and gave up three runs on eight hits while striking out seven hitters and walking no one. Lewis has had a hard time missing bats this season, giving up 114 hits in 81.2 innings.

Second baseman Howie Kendrick is the only player on the Angels who has hit a home run off of Lewis, but he is just 5-for-23 overall against him with seven strikeouts.
