Left-hander C.J. Wilson (8-6) is expected to come off of the disabled list and start for the Los Angeles Angels when they take on Chris Archer (6-6) and the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night.

C.J. Wilson's last start came back on July 9, when he went just 3.2 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays and ended up with a no decision. He allowed six runs (three earned) on eight hits in that start and walked three batters while striking out one. He currently has a 4.33 ERA and he has struck out 107 hitters in 116.1 innings.

Rays infielder Sean Rodriguez has seven hits in 22 at-bats against Wilson in his career with a home run and two RBI. Evan Longoria is just 4-for-23 against him with a home run and nine strikeouts.

Hard-throwing right-hander Chris Archer pitched six innings against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday and ended up suffering his sixth loss of the year. He gave up three runs on six hits in that outing while walking two batters and striking out three. Archer has an above-average 3.37 ERA and he has only given up six home runs in 125.2 innings of work.

Angels veteran Erick Aybar has just one hit in his eight at-bats against Archer, but that one hit was a home run. All-Star Mike Trout is 4-for-7 against him with two walks and no strikeouts.
