The Los Angeles Angels will be sending 22-year-old Tyler Skaggs to the mound on Saturday night to face Tommy Milone and the Oakland Athletics on Saturday.

Tyler Skaggs pitched seven pretty good innings against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, but he ended up losing for the second time this season. He allowed five runs in those seven innings of work, but just two of those runs were earned. He walked two and struck out eight in that outing. Skaggs is 4-2 on the year with a 3.97 ERA and has allowed just 59 hits in 65.2 innings of work this season.

Nick Punto has more at-bats against Skaggs than any of his Oakland teammates, but he is hitless against him with one walk. Brandon Moss is the only player on the Athletics with a home run against Skaggs.

Tommy Milone won his second consecutive start on Monday by beating the Detroit Tigers at home. He went 6.2 innings scoreless in that start and allowed just four hits while walking two and striking out six. Milone is now 3-3 on the year and has allowed just 47 hits in 54 innings while striking out 36.

Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick has done very well against Milone in his career by going 10-for-23 against him with a double, two home runs and seven RBI. Mike Trout has hit a home run off of Milone, but he is just 4-for-18 overall against him.
