On Sunday night, Jered Weaver (13-7) will be on the mound for the Los Angeles Angels when they face left-hander Scott Kazmir (14-5) and the Oakland Athletics.

Jered Weaver had a decent start against the Boston Red Sox on the road last Tuesday and came away with a no decision. He went 5.1 innings in that game and allowed three runs on seven base hits while striking out one batter and walking four. Weaver has only given up 153 hits in 167.2 innings this year and he has a 3.70 ERA.

A's outfielder Coco Crisp has just 10 hits in his 57 at-bats against Weaver with two walks and 11 strikeouts. Infielder Eric Sogard is 7-for-19 against him in his career with a double and two strikeouts.

All-Star Scott Kazmir picked up his 14th win last Tuesday when he was able to defeat the New York Mets at home. He pitched six innings in that game and allowed just one run on four base hits while walking three batters and striking out six. He currently has a 2.73 ERA on the year and has only given up 7.4 hits per nine innings.

Angels infielder Erick Aybar has three hits in five plate appearances against Kazmir with a double and no strikeouts. First baseman Albert Pujols is hitless against the lefty with a walk and a strikeout.
