Hector Santiago will try to get his first win of the season when the Los Angeles Angels face Vidal Nuno and the New York Yankees on Saturday.

Hector Santiago picked up his third loss in four outings when the Detroit Tigers were able to beat him on Sunday afternoon. He went 5.2 innings in that game and gave up two runs (0 earned) on two hits while striking out seven and walking a season-high five. Despite his 0-3 record, Santiago has a respectable 3.68, but he's walking nearly five batters per nine innings.

Alfonso Soriano is one Yankee who really likes facing Santiago, batting .429 in seven at-bats against him with two home runs and three RBI. Santiago has done quite a bit better against Jacoby Ellsbury, holding him to just one hit in six at-bats.

Vidal Nuno made his first of the season for the Yankees on Sunday and was able to pitch five shutout innings. He gave up just three hits in that outing and struck out six while walking two. He has a 6.75 ERA on the season now through 9.1 innings, but he may just be more comfortable as a starter.

None of the Angels have faced Nuno yet, but they should expect to see as much offspeed stuff as fastballs from the lefty. His changeup is considered his best pitch right now.
