Los Angeles Angels starter Garrett Richards is winless in his last three outings and will be looking to end that streak when he faces Jarred Cosart and the Houston Astros Wednesday night.

Garrett Richards had his shortest and worst outing of the season his last time on the mound when he couldn't even get out of the first inning in his start against the Oakland Athletics. He gave of five earned runs on five hits in his 0.2 innings while striking out two and walking three. Despite the bad outing, Richards still has a 4-2 record and an above-average 3.65 ERA.

Designated hitter Chris Carter should find himself in the lineup against Richards because he is 6-for-13 against him with a double and a home run. Jose Altuve has four hits in 11 at-bats against the right-hander.

Jarred Cosart beat the Kansas City Royals last Wednesday and picked up his fourth win of the season to give himself a .500 record. He went five innings in that start and allowed one earned run on four hits while walking two and striking out one. He has a 4.18 ERA this season, but he has only given up one home run in 60.1 innings.

Veteran outfielder Raul Ibanez is hitless in five at-bats against Cosart in his career, but he does have one RBI. Kole Calhoun is 1-for-2 against hm with a home run and a walk.
