31-year-old Jared Weaver will get the ball on Sunday for the Los Angeles Angels when they take on the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Starting the game for the Astros is 6'7" Scott Feldman, who earned his first win of the season on Tuesday when he threw 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball. For a pitcher who has a career ERA of more than 4.50, his performance may be considered a fluke to many, but he had a nice run in 2013 with the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago Cubs.

While Feldman has spent a good portion of his career as a reliever, he has shown some upside as a starter. While his lifetime 5.58 strikeouts per nine innings and 1.36 WHIP don't allow for many fans to get behind him every fifth day, he has been pretty solid for a mid-rotation guy. Of the current Angels who have hit against Feldman, most have had great success. Erick Aybar is leading the charge with a .476 average in 21 at bats, while Howie Kendrick has a .444 average in 18 at bats.

Weaver won just 11 games a year ago after winning 20 the season before. Much like everyone else on the Los Angeles roster, Weaver struggled in 2013. He has seen limited action from the Astros roster and has limited those who have faced him to a .185 average with no home runs allowed. Weaver is also 6'7" and will hope to use his length to get the Angels a victory.
