22-year-old Tyler Skaggs will be trying to end his two-game losing streak on Thursday night when he and the Los Angeles Angels go up against right-hander Brad Peacock and the Houston Astros.

Tyler Skaggs lost his fourth game of the season last weekend against the Oakland Athletics when he allowed four earned runs in six innings of work. He gave up five hits in that outing and struck out seven while walking a season-worst five batters. Skaggs hasn't been striking out as many batters this year as he did in the past, but he is giving up less hits and walks.

Jesus Guzman has hit a home run off of Skaggs in his career, but that is the only hit he has against him in 11 at-bats. Jose Altuve is 2-for-5 against him with a walk and two strikeouts.

Brad Peacock had one of his best outings of the season last week against the Baltimore Orioles, but all he could get out of that start was a no decision. He went six innings against the Orioles and allowed just one earned run on six hits while walking no one and striking out eight. His ERA is now down to 4.76 on the year and he has struck out 52 batters in 51 innings.

Angels catcher Hank Conger has three hits in four at-bats against Peacock with a double, a home run and three RBI.
