On Tuesday night, eight-game winner Jered Weaver and the Los Angeles Angels will take on big right-hander Scott Carroll and the Chicago White Sox.

Jered Weaver pitched one of his best games of the season last week against the Minnesota Twins and he ended up winning his eighth game of the year in the process. He allowed just one run in seven innings of work that day and he walked one while striking out six. Weaver now has an 8-6 record this season with a 3.33 ERA and he is only giving up 7.6 hits per nine innings.

White Sox veteran Paul Konerko has just two hits against Weaver in 22 at-bats with five strikeouts. Alejandro De Aza is 2-for-6 against him in his career with a double and a home run.

Last Thursday, Scott Carroll lost his fourth game of the year when he was beaten by the Toronto Blue Jays on the road. He pitched five innings in that game and allowed five runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out four. He now has a 2-4 record on the season and he's given up a whopping 65 hits in 51 innings pitched.

Angels first baseman Albert Pujols has one hit in two at-bats against Carroll with a solo home run. No one on the Angels has faced Carroll more than two times.
