Kansas City Royals starter Danny Duffy (7-10) will be going for his third win in a row on Friday night when he faces veteran Ricky Nolasco (5-7) and the Minnesota Twins.

Danny Duffy didn't have his best start of the season on Sunday against the San Francisco Giants, but he did do well enough to pick up his seventh win. He went 6.2 innings in that game and gave up four runs on three hits while walking three and striking out four. He currently owns a 2.57 ERA and he has only given up 6.4 hits per nine innings this season.

Twins outfielder Chris Parmelee has one hit in two at-bats versus Duffy with a double and two walks. Brian Dozier is 3-for-12 against Duffy with a double, a triple and an RBI.

Right-hander Ricky Nolasco last made a start for the Twins back on July 6, when he was pummeled by the New York Yankees. He allowed six runs in just two innings of work that day before going on the disabled list with shoulder issues. Through 18 starts this year, Nolasco has a 5.90 ERA and he has given up 140 hits in 103.2 innings.

Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas is 2-for-7 against Nolasco in his career and is the only Twin who has hit a home run off of him. Shortstop Alcides Escobar is 6-for-11 against Nolasco with two doubles.
