Danny Duffy looks to follow up his strongest start of the season with another win when the Kansas City Royals face C.J. Wilson and the Los Angeles Angels on Friday.

Danny Duffy went seven shutout innings in his start against the Baltimore Orioles last week and ended up getting his second win of the season. He gave up just two hits in that start and struck out two while walking no one. Through 25.1 innings as a reliever and as a starter, Duffy has a 1.42 ERA and has given up just 11 hits.

Duffy has not faced any of the Angels more than twice in his career. First baseman Albert Pujols has shown that he can hit him, though, by getting a hit in both of his at-bats against the left-hander.

C.J. Wilson notched his first shutout of the season when he beat the Tampa Bay Rays at home last week. In those nine innings of work, Wilson gave up just five hits and struck out seven while walking two. He is now 5-3 with a 3.16 ERA on the year and has given up just 49 hits through 62.2 innings.

Alcides Escobar has struggled against Wilson in his career so far by getting just one hit in eight at-bats. Billy Butler and Mike Moustakas are the only Royals who have hit home runs against the lefty.
