Monday night, the Kansas City Royals will send Jeremy Guthrie (10 -10, 4.31 ERA) to the hill to take on the Detroit Tigers and Justin Verlander (12 -12, 4.80 ERA).  Both pitchers will be making their 29th starts of the season.
