Lefty Danny Duffy (8-10) will be going for his fourth win in a row when he and the Kansas City Royals go up against Jorge De La Rosa (12-8) and the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

Danny Duffy pitched well against the Minnesota Twins on the road last week despite only making it through 5.1 innings. In that win, he allowed three runs (two earned) on six base hits while striking out one and walking zero. Duffy has only given up 6.5 hits per nine innings this season and now has a very good 2.60 ERA on the season.

Rockies veteran Michael Cuddyer is 1-for-1 in three plate appearances against Duffy and is the only Colorado player who has hit a home run off of the left-hander.

Veteran lefty Jorge De La Rosa pitched seven good innings against the Cincinnati Reds last week and ended up picking up his 13th win of the year. He allowed three runs on five base hits that day while walking one batter and striking out five. De La Rosa now has a 4.32 ERA on the season and he has given 126 hits in 141.2 innings.

Royals designated hitter Josh Willingham has three hits in eight at-bats against De La Rosa in his career with six walks and two RBI. Raul Ibanez is 4-for-14 against him with two doubles and three strikeouts.
