On Saturday night, Danny Duffy (9-11) will try to build off of his solid outing last week when he and the Kansas City Royals face John Danks (10-11) and the Chicago White Sox.

Last Monday, Danny Duffy picked up his ninth win of the year by beating the Cleveland Indians on the road. He pitched six scoreless innings in that start and gave up just six hits while walking two batters and striking out five. Duffy now has a 2.32 ERA on the year and he has only given up 108 hits in 147.1 innings of work.

White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez has two hits in his six at-bats versus Duffy with a walk and two strikeouts. Catcher Tyler Flowers is hitless in six plate appearances against him with no walks and three strikeouts.

John Danks pitched six good innings against the Tampa Bay Rays on the road last Sunday and came away with the win. He gave up just two runs on two hits in that start and walked three batters while striking out five. Danks has only struck out 6.1 batters per nine innings this year and he now has a 4.82 ERA.

Royals veteran Raul Ibanez is 4-for-11 against Danks in his career with two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Slugger Billy Butler is just 7-for-35 against him with one walk and nine strikeouts.
