Tuesday night the Houston Astros will send Brett Oberholtzer to face the Toronto Blue Jays and Mark Buehlre.  Both hurlers will me making their second starts of the season. 

Mark Oberholtzer goes into his second start after losing his first of the season in a 5 2/3 inning outing where he gave up 3 runs (all earned) on 5 hits while striking out 6 and walking 1.  Last season, Oberholtzer appeared in 13 games (starting 10 of them) en route to a 4 - 5 record with a 2.76 ERA.  

Oberholtzer will face the hitters of the Toronto Blue Jays for the first time in his career and will have to rely on the scouting reports to find an edge that he can use against Toronto.  The Toronto hitters will have to do the same if they want to get past Oberholtzer.    

Mark Buehlre had a solid outing in his first start, coming away with the win after 8 2/3 innings of work.  Buehlre gave up just 4 hits and a walk while striking out 11.  Coming into his 15th season in the majors, Buehlre started 33 games last year ending up with a 12 – 10 record and an ERA of 4.15, his highest since 2010 and only the 5th time above 4.00 in his career. 

Buehlre has faced many of the Astros but he has seen Jose Altuve and Chris Carter 8 times each.  Jesus Guzman has had the most success with 3 hits (including 2 doubles) in 6 at-bats.
