On Tuesday night, Brad Peacock will attempt to win just his third game of the year when he and the Houston Astros take on rookie Nick Martinez and the Texas Rangers.

Last week, Brad Peacock gave up four runs to the Seattle Mariners in 5.1 innings of work and ended up taking his fifth loss of the season. He allowed six hits in that outing and struck out six batters while walking two. On the year, Peacock is now 2-5 with a 4.38 ERA and he has struck out 69 batters in 78 innings.

Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has three hits in his seven at-bats against Peacock with two home runs and three RBI. Veteran outfielder Alex Rios has just one hit in nine at-bats against him with four strikeouts.

Nick Martinez made his 16th start of the year last Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles on the road and ended up suffering his sixth loss. He went five innings in that game and gave up eight runs (six earned) on seven hits while collecting just one strikeout. He now has a 1-6 record and he has already given up 82 hits in 67 innings on the mound.

The Astros are one of the teams that Martinez has already faced, but both of his outings against them were out of the bullpen. Matt Dominguez is 2-for-2 against him with an RBI.
