Right-hander Collin McHugh will be getting the start for the Houston Astros when they face young fireballer Chris Archer and the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday night.

Collin McHugh gave up four runs (three earned) against the Tampa Bay Rays last Friday and ended up suffering his fourth loss of the season. He went five innings in that game and walked three batters while striking out six. McHugh is 4-4 this year with a 3.03 ERA and he has struck out 66 batters in 59.1 innings while only giving up 42 hits.

Veteran Ben Zobrist has two hits in his three at-bats against McHugh with a double, a triple and two RBI. None of the Rays have faced him more than four times.

On Saturday, Chris Archer had his shortest outing of the season against the Houston Astros and ended up taking his fourth loss of the year. He gave up six runs (one earned) in those three innings of work and walked three batters while striking out two. Despite that loss, Archer has been solid this year, striking out 71 hitters in 79.1 innings and only giving up three home runs.

Third baseman Matt Dominguez has only gone up against Archer twice in his career so far, but he has shown that he can hit him by getting two hits, including a double and three RBI.
