On Tuesday night, Collin McHugh (8-9) will be going for his third win in a row when the Houston Astros take on rookie Roenis Elias (10-12) and the Seattle Mariners.

Collin McHugh had one of his best starts of the year last Wednesday when he defeated the Los Angeles Angels at home. He gave up just one run in 7.2 innings of work that day while striking out eight batters and walking no one. He now has a very good 2.89 ERA on the year and he has only given up 106 hits in 134 innings.

Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has two hits in his nine at-bats against McHugh with a triple and two RBI. Outfielder Dustin Ackley is 0-for-7 against him with a walk and five strikeouts, while Brad Miller is 1-for-5 against him with a solo home run.

Left-hander Roenis Elias gave up just one run in five innings against the Texas Rangers last Thursday and picked up the win. He allowed seven hits in that start while walking one batter and striking out one. Elias currently has a 3.90 ERA and he has been able to strike out 138 batters in 154.2 innings this season.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 1-for-3 against Elias earlier this season with a solo home run. Designated hitter Chris Carter was 0-for-2 against him in that game with a walk and two strikeouts.
