Houston Astros right-hander Collin McHugh (4-9) will attempt to win his first game since June 3 on Thursday night when he faces Roberto Hernandez (6-8) and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Collin McHugh pitched pretty well against the Toronto Blue Jays last Friday and ended up with a no decision. He went 6.1 innings in that start and allowed just one run on five hits while striking out five batters and walking one. Through 16 starts, he now has a 3.32 ERA and he has only given up 70 hits in 95 innings of work.

Phillies veteran shortstop Jimmy Rollins has one hit in his two at-bats versus McHugh with a single and two RBI. None of the Phillies have faced McHugh more than two times.

Veteran right-hander Roberto Hernandez was able to pick up his second win in a row last Friday when he defeated the Washington Nationals on the road. He pitched eight strong innings in that game and allowed just one unearned run on five hits while walking one and striking out three. He has only given up 108 hits in 121 innings of work this season and he now has a 3.87 ERA.

Astros designated hitter Chris Carter has one hits in three at-bats against Hernandez with a solo home run. Young outfielder Jake Marisnick is 0-for-3 against him in his career with two strikeouts.
