Right-hander Brad Peacock (3-7) will try to quickly get over his worst start of the year when he and the Houston Astros take on David Buchanan (5-5) and the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night.

Brad Peacock last made a start for the Astros on July 23 against the Oakland Athletics when he gave up seven runs in 3.2 innings and took the loss. He gave up seven hits in that game and walked five batters while striking out two. On the year, Peacock has a 4.93 ERA and he has walked 4.9 batters per nine innings, which is the worst walk rate of his career.

Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz has one hit in two at-bats against Peacock, while Jimmy Rollins is 0-for-2 with a walk against him. None of the Phillies have faced Peacock more than two time.

Rookie David  Buchanan was last on the mound for the Phillies back on July 10 when he picked up his fifth win of the year. He went seven innings in that game and allowed just one run on four hits while striking out five and walking one. In 10 Major League starts this year, Buchanan has a 4.40 ERA and he has struck out 5.9 batters per nine innings.

Marlins outfielder Jake Marisnick is 0-for-2 against Buchanan in his career with a walk and no strikeouts. None of the other Astros have faced the right-hander yet.
