Three-game winner Brad Peacock will get the start for the Houston Astros on Wednesday night when they face right-hander Jesse Chavez and the Oakland Athletics.

Right-hander Brad Peacock was given the quick hook in his start against the Boston Red Sox on July 13 and ended up suffering his sixth loss of the year. He only managed to pitch a third of an innings in that game after giving up a run on two hits. Peacock is now 3-6 on the season with a 4.39 ERA and he has struck out 75 batters in 84 innings on the mound.

A's outfielder Coco Crisp has four hits in his 12 at-bats against Peacock with two doubles, a triple and a home run. Jed Lowrie, meanwhile, is just 2-for-11 against him with two walks and a strikeout.

In his last start, Jesse Chavez pitched 5.2 innings against the Seattle Mariners on the road and ended up losing his sixth game of the year. He allowed three earned runs on 10 hits in that game while walking two batters and striking out six. Chavez has been pretty good for the A's this year, going 7-6 with a 3.14 ERA and he has struck out 107 hitters in 114.2 innings.

Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is 4-for-10 against Chavez with two doubles and an RBI.
