Tuesday night, Brett Oberholtzer (4 – 8, 3.87 ERA) will take his turn for the Houston Astros as they face Chris Capuano (1 – 3, 4.13 ERA) and the New York Yankees.  Oberholtzer makes his 18th start as Capuano makes his 5th start and 33rd appearance.

Chris Capuano took his 2nd loss as a Yankee in his last outing.  In defeat, Capuano allowed 4 runs and 6 hits (including a homer) in 6 innings of work.  He fanned 7 without issuing any free passes.  Capuano has allowed 11 runs in his 4 starts for the Yankees.   His only win came back in April after a 2.2 inning relief appearance.   Last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Capuano started 20 games and appeared in 4 more as he compiled a 4 – 7 record with a 4.26 ERA.

In 2013, Capuano didn’t face the Astros and he has only seen 4 of the Houston hitters before.  Houston’s Dexter Fowler is 5 of 17 against Capuano with 3 RBIs.
