Dallas Keuchel and Garrett Richards have both pitched extremely well recently and will face off when the Houston Astros play the Los Angeles Angels on Monday.

Dallas Keuchel was able to put together his best start of the season last week against the Texas Rangers by pitching a seven-hit shutout to pick up his fourth win of the season. He walked no one for the second game in a row and he ended up striking out seven. He has now struck out 47 batters through 53 innings this season and he has a solid 3.06 ERA.

Erick Aybar has had the most success against Keuchel of all of the Angels' hitters by going 5-for-12 against him with two doubles and two RBI. Veteran Raul Ibanez has hit a home run off of Keuchel, but he is just 1-for-6 overall against him.

25-year-old Garrett Richards is now 4-0 after picking up a win last Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. He pitched seven shutout innings in that outing and gave up just five hits while striking out eight and walking no one. His ERA is one of the best in the American League at 2.42 and he has given up just 35 hits through 52 innings.

Chris Carter has done well against Richards in their matchups, going 5-for-10 against the right-hander with a double, a home run and three RBI.
