On Wednesday, May 28, the Houston Astros will play the final game in a three game series with the Kansas City Royals. In this meeting, the Astros will put Jarred Cosart on the hill and opposite him will be Danny Duffy for the Royals.

In his last outing against the Seattle Mariners, Cosart surrendered three runs on five hits over 6.1 innings as the Astros lost the game 3-4. The loss put Cosart’s record at 3-4 on the season with a 4.39 ERA. Cosart has been dealing with control issues this season as he walked four in this game and is averaging almost three walks a game. He’ll be looking to get back on track when he faces the Royals on Wednesday. It will be the first time Cosart has faced the Royals

Danny Duffy is coming off his fourth loss of the season putting his record at 2-4 with a 2.59 ERA. Duffy pitched six innings and allowed five earned runs on nine hits. Duffy was in the bullpen early in the season and was almost unhittable and kept that up as he entered the rotation never giving up more than two earned runs. However, early home runs did Duffy in on Friday night against the Los Angeles Angels and the team couldn’t recover as they lost 1-6. Duffy well look to get his third win when he faces an Astro team that sits in last place in the American League West.
