Right-hander Jarred Cosart will be on the mound for the Houston Astros on Monday night and will be going up against Josh Collmenter and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Last Wednesday, Jarred Cosart lost for the fifth time this year when he was beaten by the Los Angeles Angels on the road. He went 6.2 innings in that start and allowed three runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out eight. Cosart has a decent 4.16 ERA through 12 starts this season and has only given up five home runs in 67 innings.

All of the Diamondbacks will be going up against Cosart for the first time on Monday. His 94 mph fastball has been his best pitch this season, while his 79 mph curve hasn't fooled too many hitters.

Big right-hander Josh Collmenter ended up with a no decision against the Colorado Rockies last week in a game the Diamondbacks ended up winning 16-8. Collmenter went five innings in that outing and allowed four runs on nine hits and struck out two while walking two. He is 4-2 on the season, but he hasn't lost a game since back on April 20.

Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler has hit a home run off of Collmenter, but he is just 3-for-17 overall against him with three strikeouts. Jesus Guzman is 4-for-13 against him with two doubles and an RBI.
