Detroit Tigers veteran Anibal Sanchez will try to make it three wins in a row on Wednesday night when he goes up against Nick Tepesch and the Texas Rangers.

Last Thursday, Anibal Sanchez picked up his fourth win of the season when he was able to pitch seven strong innings against the Kansas City Royals in Detroit. He gave up just one run on five hits in that game while walking one and striking out no one. Sanchez has been superb for the Tigers so far this year, with a 4-2 record and a 2.33 ERA.

Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has six hits in his eight at-bats against Sanchez with a double and three RBI. None of the current Rangers have been able to hit a home run off of the right-hander yet.

Last Thursday, Nick Tepesch lost for the third time this season when he was defeated by the Oakland Athletics on the road. He pitched five innings in that start and allowed four earned runs on a season-high nine hits while walking two and only striking out one. Through seven starts, he is 2-3 with a 4.38 ERA and he has given up 40 hits in 37 innings.

Third baseman Kyle Seager has five hits against Tepesch in 12 at-bats with three doubles and an RBI. Jason Castro is 4-for-8 against him with two doubles and a home run.
