Rick Porcello will try to pick up his third win of the season when he takes the mound for the Detroit Tigers against Kevin Correia and the Minnesota Twins.

Rick Porcello now has a 2-1 record on the season after he was able to pitch seven solid innings and pick up the win against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. He gave up just one earned run in that outing on five hits while striking out four and walking one. He now has 20 innings pitched on the season and his ERA sits at 3.15.

There is a good chance that Jason Kubel will be in the lineup against Porcello as he has 13 hits, including a home run and three doubles, in 30 at-bats against the righty. Kurt Suzuki hasn't has as much luck against Porcello, going just 3-for-14 against him.

Kevin Correia picked up his second loss on the young season when he gave up five runs (four earned) against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday afternoon. He was able to make it through six innings in the game, but he gave up nine hits and walked two while striking out just two hitters. He now has a 5.47 ERA and is striking out just over four batters per nine innings.

Tigers star Miguel Cabrera has had plenty of success against Correia in his career, with a batting line of .393/.406/.571 with a home run, a double and eight RBI in 32 plate appearances.
