Right-hander Rick Porcello (15-11) will attempt to snap his current three-game losing streak when the Detroit Tigers face Ricky Nolasco (5-11) and the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

Rick Porcello pitched pretty well in his start against the Kansas City Royals last Thursday, but he took the loss after getting no run support. He gave up two runs in 6.2 innings that day while striking out seven batters and walking no one. On the season, Porcello now has a 3.23 ERA and he has only walked 34 batters in 189.2 innings.

Twins second baseman Brian Dozier has five hits in 18 at-bats against Porcello in his career with two home runs and six RBI. Catcher Kurt Suzuki is just 4-for-18 against him with four walks and no strikeouts.

Ricky Nolasco had a good start last Thursday, but he was beaten by the Cleveland Indians after getting no run support from his offense. He went seven innings in that game and gave up one earned run on six base hits while striking out five batters and walking no one. Nolasco still has a very high 5.64 ERA after that win and he has given up 184 hits in 140.1 innings this year.

Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler is 4-for-6 against Nolasco in his career with three doubles and two RBI. Slugger Miguel Cabrera has one hit in three at-bats against him with no walks and two strikeouts.
