Reigning American League Cy Young award winner Max Scherzer will go for his tenth win of the year when he and the Detroit Tigers go up against eight-game winner Dallas Keuchel and the Houston Astros on Saturday afternoon.

Max Scherzer bounced back from one of his worst starts of the season to dominate the Cleveland Indians over six innings of work on Sunday. He allowed just one run in that game while walking two and striking out eight. His ERA is now down to 3.71 on the season and he has been able to strike out 119 hitters in 104.1 innings of work.

Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler has four hits against Scherzer in 13 at-bats with a double and three RBI. Matt Dominguez is just 1-for-9 against him in his career with four strikeouts.

Third-year starter Dallas Keuchel pitched eight innings against the Tampa Bay Rays in his last start, but he came away with his fifth loss of the year after giving up five runs in that game. He allowed nine hits in those eight innings of work and he walked four batters while striking out four. Keuchel has been solid for the Astros this season, going 8-5 through 15 starts with a 2.78 ERA.

Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler has six hits in 19 at-bats against Keuchel with a home run, two walks and two RBI.
