Big right-hander Rick Porcello (15-8) will be going for his third win in a row when the Detroit Tigers face Jose Quintana (6-10) and the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon.

Rick Porcello had a very solid outing against the New York Yankees last Tuesday and was able to pick up the win. He went eight innings in that start and allowed just two runs on nine base hits while walking no one and striking out two. Porcello lowered his ERA to 3.06 with that win and he has only given up 32 walks in 173.1 innings this season.

White Sox veteran Paul Konerko is 14-for-40 against Porcello in his career with three doubles, a home run and five RBI. Alexei Ramirez is just 8-for-50 against him with no walks and three strikeouts.

Third-year starter Jose Quintana gave up six runs in five innings of work against the Cleveland Indians last week, but he ended up with a no decision rather than a loss. He allowed nine base hits in that game while striking out three batters and walking two. Quintana currently has a 3.48 ERA on the year and he has only given up seven home runs on 165.2 innings.

Tigers outfielder Rajai Davis has nine hits in 23 at-bats against Quintana in his career with two doubles and a home run. Reigning MVP Miguel Cabrera is 7-for-20 against him with a double, a home run and three RBI.
