Monday night, the Detroit Tigers will take the field behind Rick Porcello as they take on the Baltimore Orioles and Bud Norris.  Both pitchers will be making their 7th starts of the season.

Rick Porcello improved his record to 5 – 1 with an ERA of 3.49 after getting the win in his last start.  In that outing, Porcello allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.  At this pace, Porcello will equal or better his results in 2013 when he went 13 – 8 with a 4.32 ERA in 29 starts and 3 relief appearances.

In 2013, Norris was 0 - 1 in 2 starts against the Tigers.  He opened the season with a loss against Detroit after giving up 5 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings of work.
