Rick Porcello will go for win number 13 when he and the Detroit Tigers face Chase Anderson and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.

Rick Porcello pitched well against the Kansas City Royals his last time on the mound and came away with his 12th win of the year. He allowed just one run in seven innings of work that day and struck out three batters while walking three. He is now 12-5 this season with a 3.39 ERA and he has given up just 8.5 hits per nine innings, which is the best mark of his career.

Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero has two hits in his three at-bats versus Porcello with a solo home run. Aaron Hill has also hit a home run off of him, but he is just 2-for-11 overall against the right-hander.

Rookie Chase Anderson pitched well in his last start when he was able to defeat the Miami Marlins at home. He went six innings in that game and gave up just one run on seven hits while walking two batters and matching his season-high in strikeouts with eight. Through 10 starts, Anderson is 6-4 with a 3.64 ERA and he has struck out 7.8 batters per nine innings.

Anderson will get his first chance to face the Tigers on Tuesday night. Their left-handed hitters may not be looking forward to the matchup, as he has been able to hold them to a .213 batting average this season.
