Franklin Morales (6-7), who had his best outing of the year his last time on the mound, will make the start for the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night when they face Shelby Miller (9-9) and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Last Sunday, Franklin Morales pitched six scoreless innings against the San Diego Padres and picked up the win. He gave up just four hits in that outing and walked two batters while striking out six. Morales still has a high 5.21 ERA on the year and he has given up 10.4 hits per nine innings, which is the worst rate of his career.

In his only at-bats against Morales, Cardinals first baseman Matt Adams hit a three-run home run off of him. Jhonny Peralta is 1-for-3 against the left-hander in his career with three walks and an RBI.

Shelby Miller was able to pick up his first win in nearly a month on Monday by defeating the Cincinnati Reds on the road. He pitched seven scoreless innings in that game and allowed just three hits while walking no one and striking out four. Miller has only given up 145 hits in 166.2 innings this season and now has a 3.83 ERA.

Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario has two hits in five at-bats against Miller with a double and no strikeouts. Brandon Barnes is 0-for-5 against him in his career with no walks and three strikeouts.
