Jorge De La Rosa will be hoping to have his first good start of the season when he and the Colorado Rockies take on Madison Bumgarner and the San Francisco Giants.

Jorge De La Rosa has had a rough start to the season, going just 4.1 innings in each of his first two starts. In his most recent outing, the Arizona Diamondbacks were able to score four runs against him (three earned) on their way to a 9-4 win. De La Rosa struck out four, but he also walked three and gave up four hits.

San Francisco third baseman Pablo Sandoval has done well against De La Rosa in his career, getting 10 hits, including two doubles and a home run, in 31 at-bats. Hunter Pence only has two hits in 13 at-bats against the lefty, but both of those hits were home runs.

Madison Bumgarner has had two solid starts to open the season. In his second outing of the season, he faced the Los Angeles Dodgers and was able to hold them to two earned runs over 6.1 innings while striking out 10. His ERA now sits at 1.74.

Bumgarner may be a top-notch starting pitcher, but that hasn't stopped Rockies superstar Carlos Gonzalez from having great at-bats against him. In their 34 career matchups, Gonzalez has 11 hits, four walks and five strikeouts. Four of those 11 hits were home runs and three of them were doubles.
