In a game that will feature two rookie starters, Yohan Flande (0-5) and the Colorado Rockies will face off against Joe Wieland (0-0) and the San Diego Padres on Wednesday night.

Yohan Flande started his first game in nearly a month last week when he took the no decision against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He pitched five innings in that start and gave up just two runs on two hits while walking one batter and striking out two. Flande now has a 4.91 ERA and he has only given up four home runs in 55 innings on the mound.

Padres outfielder Abraham Almonte is 1-for-1 against Flande in his career with a single and an RBI. Rymer Liriano has one hit in three at-bats against him with no walks and two strikeouts.

Joe Wieland made his first start of the season for the Rockies earlier this month when he gave up four runs in 2.1 innings against these same Rockies. He gave up two home runs in that outing and walked two batters while striking out one. Wieland has a 9.00 ERA this year and he has given up 13 hits in just six innings on the mound.

Rockies veteran Justin Morneau has two hits in his two at-bats against Wieland with a home run and two RBI. Outfielder Charlie Blackmon is hitless against him in his two at-bats with no walks and one strikeout.
