Jorge De La Rosa (14-11), who has a 3.06 ERA in three starts this month, will take the mound for the Colorado Rockies when they go up against second-year starter Robbie Erlin (4-4) and the San Diego Padres on Tuesday.

Jorge De La Rosa pitched six scoreless innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers last Wednesday and picked up the win. He only gave up two hits in that start and walked two batters while striking out three. De La Rosa has a 4.14 ERA this year and he has only given up 154 hits in 178.1 innings of work.

Padres second baseman Jedd Gyorko is 9-for-14 against De La Rosa in his career with three doubles and two RBI. Will Venable has just one hit in seven plate appearances against the lefty with no walks and two strikeouts.

Robbie Erlin had a very strong start against the Philadelphia Phillies last Thursday and picked up his fourth win of the season. He allowed just one run in six innings on the mound that day while striking out four and walking no one. Erlin has a 4.53 ERA through 11 starts this year and he has struck out seven batters per nine innings.

Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is 1-for-4 against Erlin in his career and is the only Colorado player who has hit a home run off of him. Brandon Barnes is 0-for-3 against him with no walks and a strikeout.
