On Saturday night, rookie right-hander Eddie Butler (1-1) will make his third Major League start when he and the Colorado Rockies go up against veteran Dan Haren (13-11) and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Eddie Butler made his second start of the year last weekend when he beat the Arizona Diamondbacks at home. He gave up just one run in six innings that day while walking one and striking out one. Through 11.1 innings this season, Butler has given up 15 hits while striking out three and he now has a 5.56 ERA.

Dodgers second baseman Dee Gordon has three hits in his four plate appearances against Butler with two triples and three RBI. Shortstop Hanley Ramirez is 2-for-3 against him in his career with a walk and two RBI.

On Monday, Dan Haren took the no decision against the San Francisco Giants despite giving up just two runs (one earned) in seven innings of work that day. He allowed only one hit in that outing and walked no one while striking out seven. Haren now has a 4.03 ERA on the year and he has only walked 36 batters in 181 innings.

Rockies outfielder Corey Dickerson is 5-for-7 against Haren in his career with three doubles, two home runs and four RBI. Veteran Michael Cuddyer has just five hits in his 29 at-bats against the right-hander with a home run and 11 strikeouts.
