On Saturday, Yohan Flande (0-3) will try to pick up his first Major League win when he and the Colorado Rockies face Rick Porcello (12-5) and the Detroit Tigers.

In his start against the Chicago Cubs on Monday, Yohan Flande pitched well, but he ended up losing for the third time this season. In his 6.2 innings of work that day, he allowed just two runs on four hits while striking out a season-high eight batters and walking one. Through five starts, he now has a 6.08 ERA, but he has only given up one home run in 26.2 innings.

The Tigers will be facing Flande for the first time on Saturday night. So far this season, he has thrown his 90-92 mph fastball 60 percent of the time, while also mixing in a slider and a changeup.

Right-hander Rick Porcello pitched seven strong innings against the Los Angeles Angels on the road on Sunday, but he ended up with just a no decision in a game the Angels eventually won 2-1. Porcello allowed one unearned run on five hits in that game and struck out six while walking no one. He currently owns a 3.24 ERA and he has only walked 1.9 batters per nine innings.

Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau is 9-for-34 against Porcello with three doubles and two home runs, while Drew Stubbs is just 1-for-7 against him with two strikeouts.
