Rookie Yohan Flande will be making his fifth start of the year for the Colorado Rockies on Monday night when they take on Tsuyoshi Wada and the Chicago Cubs.

Last week against the Washington Nationals, Yohan Flande gave up four runs in 5.1 innings of work and came away with a no decision. He allowed five hits in that outing and walked two without striking out a batter. On the season, Flande is 0-2 with a very high 7.20 Era and he has only been able to strike out seven batters in 20 innings on the mound.

The Rockies will be going up against Flande for the first time on Monday night. Their right-handed hitters are probably looking forward to the matchup because they have hit .358 with a .906 OPS against him through four starts.

Rookie Tsuyoshi Wada made the second start of his career last Wednesday against the San Diego Padres and ended up with his first Major League loss. He didn't pitch very well in that game, going four innings and giving up five runs while striking out four and walking four. He is now 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA through two starts and he has walked five batters in nine innings of work.

The Cubs can expect to see an 89-91 mph fastball from Wada with a slider, a changeup and a curveball mixed in.
