On Friday night, rookie right-hander Christian Bergman (1-2) will make his fifth start for the Colorado Rockies when they go up against Josh Collmenter (9-7) and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

In his last start, Christian Bergman was able to beat the Miami Marlins at home to pick up his first Major League win. He pitched 6.1 innings in that start and allowed four runs on nine base hits while walking two batters and striking out one. Bergman now has a 6.75 ERA through four starts and he has given up 32 hits in 21.1 innings.

Bergman will get his first chance to face all of the Diamondbacks on Friday night. So far this season, right-handed batters are hitting .377 against him with a 1.190 OPS, while left-handed batters are hitting .257 against him.

Josh Collmenter had a very good start against the San Diego Padres on the road last week and was able to pick up the win. He went 8.1 innings in that game and gave up just one unearned run while striking out eight batters and walking no one. Collmenter has only walked 2.2 batters per nine innings this season and he currently has a 4.05 ERA.

Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario has two hits in seven plate appearances against Collmenter with a double and no strikeouts. DJ LeMahieu is hitless in eight at-bats against him with one strikeout.
