In his fifth start of the season on Monday night, T.J. House will be hoping to pick up his first Major League win when the Cleveland Indians go up against Nick Martinez and the Texas Rangers.

Last Tuesday, T.J. House ended up with his second straight no decision after going 5.2 innings against the Boston Red Sox at home. He allowed two earned runs in that outing on six hits while striking out four and walking two. Through 19 innings of work this season, House has allowed 22 hits and has struck out 13.

House will be facing the Rangers for the first time in his career on Monday. Left-handed hitters have hit .333/.333/.500 with one home run against the rookie so far, while right-handed batters have hit .279/.380/.442 with two homers.

Rookie Nick Martinez picked up his second Major League loss last week against the Baltimore Orioles when he gave up six runs (four earned) in 5.1 innings of work. He gave up nine hits in that outing and walked three while striking out four. Through 11 starts, Martinez is 1-2 with a 3.22 ERA and he has walked (20) almost as many hitters as he has struck out (21).

None of the Indians hitters have gone up against Martinez yet. He has struggled against left-handed hitters, allowing a .314 batting average against and four home runs already.
