23-year-old starter Trevor Bauer will making his fourth start of the season for the Cleveland Indians on Friday night and will be facing Texas Rangers ace Yu Darvish.

Trevor Bauer pitched pretty well against the Colorado Rockies last Saturday, but all that he could get out of the game was a no decision. He pitched six innings in that outing and allowed two earned runs on four hits while striking out eight and walking just one. Bauer is 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA on the season and has struck out 11.7 batters per nine innings.

Rangers outfielder Alex Rios is the only player on his team who has gone up against Bauer and he is 0-for-1 with an RBI.

All-Star pitcher Yu Darvish had one of his best starts of the season on Sunday when he pitched eight scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals. He allowed just five hits in that game and walked two while matching his season-high in strikeouts with 12. Darvish has an excellent 2.08 ERA through 69.1 innings this season and he has struck out 83 batters while walking just 21.

Indians outfielder Michael Brantley has faced Darvish six times in his career with one double an two strikeouts. Center fielder Michael Bourn has three plate appearances against the right-hander in his career and is 1-for-1 with a home run and two walks.
