Sunday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Rays will welcome the Cleveland Indians to Tropicana Field. The Indians will send right hander Josh Tomlin to the mound for the start, while the Rays will counter with Chris Archer, one of the brightest young stars in the sport.

The 29-year-old Tomlin will be making just his second start of the season. The talented pitcher from Texas pitched well in his first start of the season, going 6 2/3 innings, allowing only a solo home run and 4 hits, while recording the win. In his career against the current roster of Rays, Tomlin has pitched well, allowing just 14 hits in 60 at-bats. Yunel Escobar, Desmond Jennings and Ben Zobrist are a combined 0-for-25 against Tomlin, while Jose Molina is 4-for-7 with a home run and David DeJesus is 2-for-3 with 2 solo home runs.

Archer is just 2-1 with a 4.91 ERA this season, but has had a few starts that have hurt his statistics. When you look at his stuff, there are few 25-year-old starters that are as good as he is. He has been quite inconsistent as of late, but he will be confident with his 34 strikeouts compared to just 11 walks when he takes on the Indians.
