Josh Tomlin will be hoping that he can end his current three-game losing streak when he and the Cleveland Indians take on rookie Roenis Elias and the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night.

On Sunday against the Detroit Tigers, Josh Tomlin lost his fifth game of the season when he gave up eight runs (five earned) in just four innings of work. He allowed eight hits in that outing and walked two while striking out five. Tomlin is now 4-5 through 10 starts for the Indians this season and he has struck out 7.6 batters per nine innings.

Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has five hits in his 11 at-bats against Tomlin with two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Dustin Ackley is 3-for-7 against him with a double and four strikeouts.

Roenis Elias continued his solid rookie season on Sunday by defeating the Kansas City Royals at home and picked up his seventh win of the year in the process. In 6.2 innings, he allowed just one earned run on five hits in that game while striking out five batters and walking two. He is now 7-5 on the year and he has only given up 83 hits in 98.2 innings pitched.

All of the Indians will be facing Elias for the first time on Saturday. Their left-handed hitters probably won't be looking forward to the matchup, as Elias has held them to just a .203 batting average in 76 at-bats this season.
