The Indians and A's both set out to prove that 2013 wasn't a fluke season as they continue their three game set Tuesday in Oakland. The Indians surprised everyone by winning 92 games and earning a wild card berth while the A's somehow won their 2nd straight AL West title over the likes of the Rangers and Angels.

On the hill for Cleveland is Corey Kluber, entering his third season as a full-time starter. Kluber made 24 starts a year ago compiling an impressive 11-5 record. The schedule didn't line up for Kluber to make an appearance against Oakland in 2013 and he has a minimal history with members of their current roster. In fact not one A's player has faced Kluber more than 6 times in their career with Josh Reddick, Josh Donaldson, and Coco Crisp batting a combined 7 for 18 against the right hander.

Scott Kazmir makes his first start of 2014 against his former teammates after signing a 2-year $24 million contract to jump to Oakland from Cleveland. Kazmir bounced back nicely a year ago going 10-9 with a 4.04 ERA despite being in the minor leagues the previous two seasons to regain his tooling and mechanics. Kazmir is definitely familiar with today's lineup after playing with them an entire year but the Indians current roster has posted only a .132 lifetime batting average against their former teammate.
