Trevor Bauer (4-7) will hope that he can win his first game since July 18 when he and the Cleveland Indians face off against Kyle Gibson (11-9) and the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.

Against the Arizona Diamondbacks last week, Trevor Bauer was able to make it through eight innings for the first time this season, but all he got out of the start was a no decision. He allowed two runs on four hits in that outing while walking two batters and striking out nine. Bauer currently has a 4.35 ERA on the year and he has struck out 101 hitters in 107.2 innings.

Twins outfielder Oswaldo Arcia has two hits in three plate appearances against Bauer with a solo home run and a strikeout. Eduardo Nunez and Trevor Plouffe are both 0-for-3 against Bauer in their careers.

Last Wednesday, Kyle Gibson pitched 7.2 very good innings against the Houston Astros on the road and picked up his 11th win of the year. He allowed one run on six hits in that game while walking two batters and striking out four. He now has a 3.96 ERA on the season and has only given up eight home runs in 134 innings.

Indians infielder Mike Aviles has three hits in his four at-bats versus Gibson with one strikeout and two RBI. Carlos Santana is 0-for-5 against him with two walks and two strikeouts.
