Danny Salazar will be making his ninth start of the year for the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night when they face right-hander Yohan Pino and the Minnesota Twins.

Right-hander Danny Salazar last made a start for the Indians back on May 15 against the Toronto Blue Jays in a game he ended up losing. Through eight starts this season, he is 1-4 with a 5.53 ERA, but has struck out 47 batters in 40.2 innings. After being sent down, he made 10 starts in Triple-A and went 3-6 with a 4.02 ERA.

Twins All-Star Brian Dozier has five hits in his eight at-bats versus Salazar with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. Trevor Plouffe has also hit a home run off of him, but that is his only hit in eight at-bats against the right-hander.

Yohan Pino made his fifth start of the year for the Twins back on July 10 and ended up beating the Seattle Mariners on the road. He pitched five innings in that start and allowed one earned run on seven hits while striking out four batters and walking two. He is now 1-2 on the year with a 4.39 ERA and he has only given up two home runs in 26.2 innings of work.

Pino will be going up against the Indians for the first time in his career on Tuesday night.
