Rookie T.J. House will be on the mound for the Cleveland Indians on Monday night and will face left-hander Kris Johnson and the Minnesota Twins.

In his start on July 10, T.J. House only made it through 4.2 innings against the New York Yankees, but he took a no decision rather than a loss. In that game, he gave up three earned runs on eight base hits while striking out five batters and walking two. On the season, House in 1-2 with a 4.40 ERA and he has given up 58 hits in 45 innings of work.

The Twins will be facing House for the first time on Monday. They can expect to see his 92 mph fastball about 57 percent of the time, and his highly-rated slide about 22 percent of the time.

Rookie Kris Johnson made his second Major League start on July 11 and ended up taking the loss against the Colorado Rockies on the road. He pitched four innings in that outing and gave up five earned runs on eight hits while striking out three batters and walking zero. Through two starts, Johnson has eight strikeouts in 8.1 innings, but he has also given up 12 hits.

All of the Indians will be going up against Johnson for the first time on Monday night. Right-handed hitters are batting .450 against him, while left-handed batters have a .214 batting average against the rookie.
