On Sunday afternoon, Danny Salazar will attempt to win his third game of the year when he and the Cleveland Indians go up against veteran Bruce Chen and the Kansas City Royals.

Danny Salazar pitched pretty well in his five innings against the Minnesota Twins last week and came away with his second win of the season. He gave up just one run in that outing on six hits while striking out six batters and walking three. On the season, Salazar is now 2-4 with a 5.12 ERA, but he has been able to strike out 53 batters in 45.2 innings.

Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas has just one hit in his five at-bats against Salazar, but that one hit was a home run. Eric Hosmer is 1-for-6 against the young right-hander with two doubles and no strikeouts.

Last week, veteran Bruce Chen won his second game of the year when he was able to defeat the Chicago White Sox on the road. He pitched five innings in that start and gave up one run on five hits while walking two batters and striking out two. Through eight starts, Chen is now 2-2 with a 5.80 ERA and he has given up 46 hits in 35.2 innings.

Indians outfielder Michael Brantley hasn't been able to hit a home run off of Chen yet, but he is 11-for-21 against him with two doubles and two RBI.
