On Thursday night, second-year starter Danny Salazar (6-7) will try to even up his record when he and the Cleveland Indians take on Scott Feldman (8-11) and the Houston Astros.

Danny Salazar finished with a no decision in his start against the Detroit Tigers on the road last weekend. He went 5.2 innings in that outing and gave up three runs on six base hits while striking out seven batters and walking one. Salazar now has 4.22 ERA on the year and he has struck out 9.5 batters per nine innings.

Astros outfielder J.B. Shuck is 1-for-3 against Salazar in his career with a solo home run and no strikeouts. All of the rest of the Astros will be going up against Salazar for the first time on Thursday.

Last Saturday, Scott Feldman pitched pretty well against the Los Angeles Angels on the road, but he still ended up picking up the loss. He gave up two runs in six innings of work that day while walking one batter and striking out five. The big right-hander now has a 3.95 ERA on the season and he has only been able to strike out 99 batters in 166.1 innings.

Indians third baseman Mike Aviles has four hits in 12 plate appearances versus Feldman with a double and a solo home run. Outfielder Michael Bourn is 2-for-10 against him with a home run and three strikeouts.
